They are considered endangered due to habitat loss and hunting. **

Both proboscis monkeys and horses are herbivores, feeding primarily on plant matter such as leaves, fruits, and seeds. They both live in social groups, with proboscis monkeys forming harems led by a dominant male, while horses live in herds led by a dominant mare. Additionally, both species have unique physical characteristics that help them thrive in their respective environments - proboscis monkeys have large, protruding noses that help amplify their calls and regulate their body temperature, while horses have strong, muscular bodies built for running and grazing. **

They use their proboscis or snout to gather food, such as grass or leaves, and bring it to their mouths for consumption. Additionally, both proboscis animals and horses are herbivores, meaning they primarily eat plant-based diets. Finally, both types of animals are known for their strong sense of smell, which they use to locate food and navigate their environments. **
